Fisher Studios is about to embark on an exciting period of growth and re-invention as we confront the challenges of Covid-19 face on, and prepare for the recovery phase of the pandemic. As a result, we are presently looking for an inspired, positive and enthusiastic candidate to fill the following role:

Photographer and Production Assistant

The Photographer and Production Assistant will play a key role in the provision of studio portrait services at Fisher Studios but will also assist the Production Manager in administrative tasks and our team of photographers in post-production.

Photography

• Studio based portrait photography, particularly for domestic clients, including individuals, families, children, babies, and passports.

Post-Production

• Being responsible for your own post-production.
• Assisting the team of photographers with their post-production.
• Ensuring best practices in terms of file management and backups.
• Editing and processing raw files using Capture One.
• Specific retouching using Adobe Photoshop where required.
• Meeting deadlines and ensuring work is delivered in a timely manner.

Administrative

• Take the lead on liaising with domestic clients and passport photo customers, both on phone and email
• Take the lead managing the main enquiry inbox
• Assist the Production Manager on delivery of product to commercial clients in the PM’s absence
• Assist with the production of call sheets for all clients with the Production Manager

Team

• Working closely with the first and second photographer to ensure their creative vision is expressed in post-production.
• Working closely with the production manager to ensure that work is conducted in a professional and timely manner.
• Working closely with the production manager to deliver a high level of customer service to our clients.
• Working closely with the client to ensure that their expectations are met and exceeded wherever possible.
• Contributing to the day-to-day running of the business and its future development.

Practicalities

• The role is for a minimum of 32 hours per week, including Wednesday to Saturday, with an optional 5th day (Monday or Tuesday) if the candidate is looking for full-time.
