Held in The Sheldonian Theatre, the End of Course Ceremony marks the completion of study for students of the Masters in Business and Administration (MBA) at Saïd Business School.

The ceremony begins with a procession of senior faculty and special guests. The procession and students wear the traditional Oxford academic dress, known as “Subfusc”.

The ceremony then consists of speeches from members of the procession as well as a view from the class and performances from a choir in between.

Every student is then recognised, their name read out and they are then received by the Dean of the Business School complimented with a round of applause.

After closing remarks the procession leaves and we grab the final cohort group photograph.

As a photographer it’s our responsibility to capture the celebratory mood of the day, weaving in the scale of the event and the grandeur of the venue. Our key priorities are getting a broad range of images of each aspect of the ceremony, as well as being in the right place at the right time!
