In the beautiful city of dreaming spires with it’s tangible history, stunning architecture and winding alleyways we took a winter walk to remind ourself of how lucky we feel to be able to live and work in this medieval city.
While winter in the UK is often thought of as unpleasant, there are many unspokenly beautiful things to be found, from the city’s winding paths and empty back streets to the foggy flood planes surrounding the Thames. The mist along the river, which is frequent during winter, adds an extra layer of wonder and an especially crisp winter morning guarantees a glistening sight. We have post produced these photos in black and white to exaggerate the misty feel and also transport us back in time to a city that has stood for almost a millennium.
Oxford is known for its vast array of tourist destinations, however, during this time of year, it can offer a tranquil and soothing ambience to any wanderer.
