We photograph a lot of events at Fisher Studios, but the party and celebration held at Wood Farm Primary School in Oxford, in honour of the 20th Anniversary of their inspirational leader and head teacher Mr David Lewin, was one of the most moving and happy events I have ever photographed.
The entire school gathered in party hats on a hot, summer’s day to give Mr Lewin a wonderful surprise party with representatives from each year group presenting a special gift of thanks. The pinnacle of the day was Mr Lewin, undisputed superhero, doing a flying lap of honour around the party to the utter delight of the children and staff alike, with high fives and tears of laughter all around.
It really was such a privilege to be invited to capture this special day and to see first hand the culmination of 20 years of quality leadership by one of the community’s unsung heroes. Congratulations Mr Lewin – you truly are out of this world!!!
