David is the founder and principal photographer at Fisher Studios and hails from Townsville, Queensland, Australia.
With over 30 years of experience, David has an extensive portfolio which is testament to his adaptability as a photographer, technically and creatively, the strength of relationships he has built with his clients over many years and his enthusiasm for working with others.
He was first inspired to take up photography during a family holiday to the UK when he was 11, while standing on the cliffs of Exmoor looking across to Wales. He went on to study photography at James Cook University on the cusp of the digital era, the year Photoshop 1.0 was released, in the heady days of film and darkrooms.
When David isn’t working hard building his little empire of inspired new generation photographers, he tends to be found close to water, whether rowing in his scull or wild swimming in the local waterways. For his 50th birthday he ran 50km along the Thames.
