I went on location with Fisher Studios photographer Reuben Worlledge, for a very special unboxing of something prehistoric at the Museum of Natural History.
Palaeontologist & Collections Manager, Dr Emma Nicholls (also known as the keeper of dinosaurs!) presented University of Oxford Vice-Chancellor, Professor Irene Tracey, with the final piece of the dinosaur puzzle, for the Museum’s ‘Life, as we know it‘ display. The fossilised lower jawbone remains, of the world’s first dinosaur – Megalosaurus – meaning ‘great lizard’, was placed into one of the new prehistoric ecosystems displays.
Reuben also came face to face with (the remains of) an Eustreptospondylus – a predatory dinosaur discovered in Summertown, Oxford, in 1870!
